Moideen & Max, or 'M&M' for short, is a young, driven and dynamic boutique law firm founded by Muhammad Faisal Moideen and Maximilian Tai in 2011.

Both Faisal and Max were formerly practising law at Shook Lin & Bok, Kuala Lumpur and between them offer a wealth of legal experience. The inception of Moideen & Max has given them the opportunity to focus on more specialized areas of practice which they individually excel in. These areas of expertise complement one another, making Moideen & Max an all rounded practice.

Moideen & Max offer an integrated solution for all legal needs on wide areas of the law ranging from construction and arbitration, employment, constitutional and administrative law, and general dispute resolution. Our counsel provides our clients, both large and small, the stability and confidence they need to grow their business.

M&M's sign

Unparalleled commitment and integrity form the cornerstone of Moideen & Max. We deliver results with fast turnaround times and ensure that we provide our clients with the personal attention they deserve. We take great pride in our work and do everything in our means to secure the outcome that our clients seek.

We are big on resources and results but remain small by design. It allows us to give our clients attention, to carefully consider their legal needs and to deliver practical solutions catered specially to those needs. Thus, we are a one-stop center where our clients can find the resources of a big firm and the flexibility of a boutique firm.

We believe that our approach sets us apart as a progressive law firm, and we are constantly seeking new ways to innovate and improve our services.

Our partners have a strong track record in dispute resolution and a professionalism that enables them to advocate difficult positions with integrity. The Firm’s dispute resolution practice includes contractual disputes arising out of sale and purchase agreements and tenancy issues to tortious claims which include both personal and professional negligence claims. Our extensive and diverse clientele means that we are experienced in various types of dispute resolution issues in a wide range of sectors including, transport, property, oil and gas and consumer goods.
We provide deep expertise in this area of practice, enabling our clients to minimize the risk involved in construction projects and stand on firmer financial footing. Matters relating to constitutional and administrative law also remain one of the key strengths of our practice. In this highly challenging area of law, we are adept at dealing with constitutional and administrative law issues intertwined with other areas of the law, including the insurance industry, employment industry and immigration issues.
We represent both employers and employees on a wide range of matters relating to employment and labour law. Our scope of practice extends beyond advisory to litigation arising out of employment related issues which includes unfair dismissal claims, constructive dismissal claims and trade union disputes.
Rapid changes to complex laws and changing public perception mean the potential for large reputational damage. We help companies stay ahead of the game through deep knowledge of legislation, and facilitate thorough planning of environmental impact.
Major operations require major expertise, and ours can be counted upon in these complex industries of insurance, shipping and aviation. We help companies draft thorough documentation, protect against potential losses, and enforce their policies with international stakeholders.
